THE BARTENDER
Join Opera Lancaster for an evening of pure fun.  This is a world premier of an opera composed by two local composers/performers. In connection with the theme we will be performing this opera at Tellus 360 in Lancaster and the Federal Tap House in Harrisburg. Performances are scheduled for January 26 and 27, 2018 in Lancaster and January 28, 2018 in Harrisburg. Mark your calendars and save the date.

Here’s the concept:  To avoid getting caught in the act of robbing the joint, a would-be thief pretends to be the bartender. But new customers with “issues” thwart his escape. An unlikely heroine saves the day.

VOICES OF HOPE

Our season-opening fundraising event was a beautiful concert featuring Venezuelan/American Artist-in-Resident, Cybele Gouverneur and pianist, David Holkeboer. This concert featured art songs and operatic arias celebrating prayer and thanksgiving and helped launch Lancaster Community Foundation's Extraordinary Give the next day.  There was a Meet the Artist reception following the concert catered by Commonwealth on Queen.
