Opera Lancaster is pleased to announce a concert entitled Love, Opera Style to be presented on February 22, 2020 at 7pm at the Roschel Performing Arts Center 630 College Avenue on the F&M Campus. This concert will feature artists from some of our previous productions as well as some new talent. For example, Rachel Eve Holmes, who was our Norina in Don Pasquale, will be performing duets with Brenten McGee, Kevin Patrick, Laura Heydt and our own John Darrenkamp. Laura has been performing with Opera Lancaster for a number of years -- who could forget her dynamic “Glitter and Be Gay” from Candide. Opera Lancaster is excited to be welcoming, from the Central Pennsylvania area, Maggie Riker and Frederick Schlick for the second half of the program which will be a large part of Act I and almost all of Act III of Puccini’s La Boheme and will be staged with costumes. Maggie just finished a tour in Europe with great success and Frederick made his professional debut in 2016 and has been busy ever since. Maggie and Fred will be joined by Laura Heydt and Kevin Patrick for Act III. Mark your calendars for this concert that explores the different kinds of love you will find in Opera. It bodes to be an exciting evening. Tickets are available online at http://bit.ly/2QkwA0Q or at the door.
