Summer Opera Workshop Faculty:

Kyle Engler has been hailed internationally for her opera singing, oratorio work, and recitals.  She has sung leading roles with Washington National Opera, Baltimore Opera, Lake George Opera, Sarasota Opera, and the Recontres Musicale d’Evian.  Most recently, she performed the Beethoven 9th Symphony alto solo with the Lancaster Symphony.

Well-known to Lancaster audiences, the Intelligencer Journal has described Amy Yovanovich as “one of today’s most thrilling voices.”  She has studied with John Darrenkamp and Kyle Engler and has sung for Grace Bumbry and Thomas Hampson.  Upcoming engagements include the role of the Widow Carney in the Fulton’s production of Oliver.

Pianist Daniel Lau has received enthusiastic press notices for both his solo and chamber performances.  Praised by the Washington Post for his "exemplary artistry," Lau has performed throughout North America and Europe.  He collaborates frequently with singers internationally and is a founding member of the acclaimed Ravel Trio.

As artist-in-residence of Brecht Elementary School in Manheim Township, Anne Meeder specializes in teaching children the fine points of stage movement, voice and diction, choreography and creative dramatics.  Anne is a member of Lancaster’s Grant Street Modern Dance Company and is also on the staff of the New Movement Center of Lancaster.

Rebecca Achenbach is one of the area’s most versatile musicians, bringing expertise as an opera leading lady, vocal soloist, choral and opera conductor, composer, and educator.  She has a degree in vocal performance from Holy Names University, and has studied with faculty from the Liszt Academy of Budapest and the Juilliard School.
